Trained in Manchester and Edinburgh. Consultant at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. Senior examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. Twenty-four years in eye care, and still learning from every patient.
I qualified from Manchester Medical School with an intercalated degree in neuroscience and trained in ophthalmology at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion in Edinburgh, with a rotation in Leeds. After completing sub-specialty training in Edinburgh I worked there as a consultant before returning home to Manchester.
My private practice concentrates on the two things I do most: cataract surgery and the medical treatment of retinal disease. Patients tell me they value being listened to, having things explained without jargon, and knowing exactly what happens next. That is the practice I have built.
